How long have you been boxing at The Sweat Science?

I started boxing at the studio at the end of January, 2016. When I first started, I went once a week for a couple of months, but then advanced to coming very regularly – progressing to more than once daily.

What keeps bringing you back?

I love the energy at TSS, which is why it’s part of my daily routine. The instructors provide excellent training, both with boxing fundamentals and a great workout. Their knowledge also allows for an authentic boxing experience. It is not intimidating at all! They are friendly and helpful. Each day I learn something new to add to my boxing skill set.

Since starting at The Sweat Science, what changes have you noticed?

I have been struggling with Hashimoto’s Disease – a thyroid condition – for the last 4 years. Because of it, extreme fatigue, hair loss and weight gain plagued my life.

A couple months after joining the studio, I enter a contest and decided to go “all in” regardless of my energy levels. The instructors and classes continue to push my body and mind to a new level of achievement. I found that my body is capable of changing despite my health challenges.

I didn’t join TSS expecting to achieve a total mind and body transformation but as a result of my dedication, inches started to come off, definition started to show on my body and fatigue subsided. It is so exciting to reach new levels of fitness.

How has being part of The Sweat Science troops influenced your lifestyle?

TSS reminded me that I can do hard things and get results. I love being fit and healthy and I look forward to being pushed and inspired everyday to be even more healthy and fit.

I’m so excited for the next chapter at TSS. Thank you TSS for renewing my ability to reach goals I never thought were possible.

How long have you been boxing at The Sweat Science?

I joined The Sweat Science two months ago, but I’ve only missed two days since I started. I enjoy the morning classes, but will try making it to some evening classes too.

What keeps bringing you back?

It feels like I’m working out as part of a team at The Sweat Science. The instructors have this ability to teach specific boxing techniques so I can hone my skills, and since retiring from competitive rugby 10 years ago, I had been looking for a workout that helped me lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I’ve found boxing at The Sweat Science combines a perfect mixture of technical skills and high intensity classes with music that gets me in the zone. The HitFit classes revv up my metabolism for the day, and the full body exercise helps me attain my goals of being and looking fit without putting a lot of physical stress on my body.

Since starting at The Sweat Science, what changes have you noticed?

I had to incorporate exercise that would be easy on my joints, but that I loved and could stick to. The hum-drum of the corporate world led to unhealthy decision-making, which led to weight gain. I knew intuitively I had to do something about it, and boxing with The Sweat Science did that for me.

Started out at 365 pounds, now down to 260. Goal weight of 240 pounds with abs. Being six-foot-four-inches, I could get away with hiding the extra weight, but I want to feel fit for the next half of my life, and look good – even without a shirt on! That’s why boxing is one of the key weapons that I use getting fit, keeping fit, and staying healthy (put in the effort you will reap the rewards!).

How has being part of The Sweat Science troops influenced your lifestyle?

Getting into a routine of discipline in my workouts and healthy eating, my overall decision making became more clear – which is great for me. I love the team atmosphere at TSS; I go in and get it done. No BS of chatting during workouts and people bugging you at a normal gym; instead, I know TSS is a 50-minute workout that is easy and a low cost investment in my life to achieve overall good health and well-being.

How long have you been boxing at The Sweat Science?

I started TSS at the end of August, 2017. I had never done anything like it and immediately loved it! Two days later I had my partner, Joe, join and it has been our daily practice since!  A hit-fit class first thing every morning and some days an additional class or two!

What keeps bringing you back?

I love the team atmosphere. From my first phone inquiry, and first few visits, the coaches and other class participants have been so friendly and encouraging. It’s great being a part of a positive fitness community.

The hit-fit classes are our go-to. The structure of the class provides constant challenges. Each class presents a new technique or challenge that keeps me engaged and coming back for more.

The coaches are genuinely engaged in each individual’s progress. Attention and guidance is provided throughout the classes, ensuring technical skill is constantly improving. Having the opportunity to train with coaches that have professional boxing experience has been amazing. The insight they share into the art of boxing takes classes to the next level.

Since starting at The Sweat Science, what changes have you noticed?

Since I began, less than four months ago, I've lost over 30 lbs and 3 sizes. Not only that, my body composition is transforming. My waist and muscle definition have drastically changed. It’s definitely motivating to see visible results in such a short period of time.

How has being part of The Sweat Science troops influenced your lifestyle?

Boxing is a very cathartic workout. I often use the classes to unload stress and negative energy. Having that release every morning sets the day off positively and provides the mental clarity and focus I need in my demanding profession.

Over the past six years, I have primarily focused on putting myself through university, starting a new career and raising my daughter as a single parent. During this busy time, there was little left for personal fitness and wellbeing. As a result, my physical health was becoming strained. I've come to understand in the process that prioritizing health is essential to achieving fulfillment in all areas of life. Carving out an hour or two daily seems a small price for the vitality gained.

How long have you been boxing at The Sweat Science?

I've been religiously boxing with The Sweat Science for a year now.

What keeps bringing you back?

I immediately fell in love with the sport, the studio and all the amazing coaches. I remember one of the coaches telling me when I first started that boxing challenges your brain in a way that is almost, if not has the same amount of benefits as learning a new language. I found that so cool!

From my first phone inquiry, and first few visits, the coaches and other class participants have been so friendly and encouraging. It’s great being apart of a positive fitness community.

The Sweat Science focuses on the fundamentals of boxing and emphasize on how your body and mind coincide to make you an even stronger participant in their classes and the sport in general.  The studio and the people have always been so inviting and welcomed me as if I'd already been coming to the gym forever.

Since starting at The Sweat Science, what changes have you noticed?

Since I've begun at the studio, I have noticed significant improvements in my body. I still wear the same size clothing but they look and sit completely different on my body.

Thanks to you guys for making it easy to fall in love with boxing :)
