Mackenzie’s story is an especially inspiring one.  Born with a hole in her heart, she was only able to stay awake for a few hours at a time.  Since having it surgically repaired, she has never slowed down.  Mackenzie began her athletic career with gymnastics, and then progressed to weightlifting and running.  Eventually, she discovered boxing.  She describes the sport as, “the perfect mix of strength, stamina, heart, and the inclusion of mental focus.”  She also credits boxing with providing her with a guaranteed stress relief and challenge.

Mackenzie’s inspiration to teach is found in being inspired by people who are willing to take the time to invest in something difficult, and in seeing people persevere in the face of adversity.  Her classes will be active, and focused on a model of high intensity, but she also promises that they will be full of fun and laughter until the last minute.  Her classes are challenging, rewarding, and motivating.  Come check out Mackenzie’s unique teaching style and have some fun while pushing yourself through an amazing workout!
